The Procedure
X-rays involve using radiation to produce images of the inside of the body. An x-ray usually only takes a few minutes, depending on what part of your body is being examined. Most of this time is spent getting into position and preparing the equipment. You may be asked to stand or lie down so that the affected area is against the digital x-ray plate. The procedure will be taken by a technician and interpreted later by a radiologist.
